The International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) jointly organize a one-day international workshop on the integration of smart grids and renewables.
ISGAN, organized as the Implementing Agreement for a Co-operative Programme on Smart Grids, under a framework of the International Energy Agency (IEA) creates a mechanism for multilateral government-to-government collaboration to advance the deployment of smarter electric grid technologies, practices, and systems and to promote adoption of related enabling government policies. NEDO participates in ISGAN as a Japanese representative with METI.
The workshop is focusing on the integration of smartgrids and renewables, gathering a wide variety of speakers from all over the world and enhancing the discussion grounded on the up-to-date activities and issues.
Taking this opportunity, participants would have a better understanding of the value that smarter, cleaner electricity systems can bring, improve best practice exchange, enhance opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, and address gaps in related knowledge and tools.
